This painting was inspired by a walk along the river Ching with a group of artists and ecologists.

It was created as part of the exhibition, Artists Field Notes: Wildways along the Ching

The image features a group of tiny characters merrily walking through the forest, observing creatures and plants, including a large snail- the type which was introduced to England by the Romans and can be spotted whilst walking along River Walk, in Highams Park; a Ladybird and Bee, Worms and a Stag Beetle.
